Passion is the Genesis of Genius – Tony Robbins
Our saying this week came about as I was reminded again of my father’s wisdom – “be passionate about whatever you do in life”. He was particularly referring to the work I might choose and always emphasising, as I continue to do – “if you are not happy in what you are doing, do not do it” and “find your passion”. As you know that really applies to all things in life, not only your career... As Oprah Winfrey said “Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you”...
I always believed Genius referred to an “exceptionally intelligent person”, however, apparently it can also refer to those with “creative power” or other “natural ability” according to my friend ‘Google’...
Also, according to ‘Google’, Kate Sanborn, an academic, who delivered a series of lectures on the topic “What is Genius?” in the early 1890’s defined genius as a mix of “inspiration” and “perspiration”. “Talent is perspiration,” she said, explaining that genius required more perspiration than inspiration”. Interesting...
So, I read that as, we could all be ‘geniuses’ with a little ‘hard work’, or perhaps following our passion!
Speaking of which, we have had another busy week, with a New Listing, featured below; three Contracts, including a ‘Conjunction sale’ and two Settlements... Not bad for a ‘Boutique’ independent Agency, even if we say so ourselves!
