I'm not lost, I'm just exploring alternative routes to nowhere in particular – unknown
I have found myself saying ‘discombobulated’ more and more these days – not necessarily as it relates to myself, although that can at times be the case… However, more as it relates to the world, our society, our politics and life in general… I do not mean that to be negative in any way, but rather an observation and a question as to how we get ‘our’ balance back…
For those who, like me, had not heard of what has now become one of my favourite words in recent years, ‘discombobulated’ - according to the Cambridge Dictionary -“To be discombobulated means to feel completely confused, disoriented, or thrown off-kilter. It is an informal and often humorous term used to describe a state of mental uncertainty where things feel disorganised or overwhelming.”
So, my thought was to ‘put it out’ to the universe and perhaps people will stop and think before they say something negative or do a ‘little good’ for someone in their day. I know I have said it before, but if everyone in the world said a kind word or did a small kind gesture once a day – what a different world we would live in…
You may ask how this relates to Real Estate sales – Well don’t get me started on the new AML laws and the effect on Sellers, let alone the ‘newish’ Seller’s Disclosure, not quite 1 year old, and at times causing significant delays in securing contracts, or even worse, the loss of a sale… What industry could do with more ‘balance’, kindness and consideration than this? Of course, it often comes back to that other word I like so much ‘Integrity’!
Enough of my ramblings…
In Sales this week, we have a New Listing - a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on Level 1 of one of our "walk-up" complexes, Scalinada, which has become increasingly popular with the younger demographic moving into Main Beach. Our last sale in Scalinada sold off market, literally overnight, with multiple offers. We will release the apartment to our database in more detail, once photography has been obtained next week.
