After our last Newsletter, leading up to the Australia Day weekend, we received a lovely message from one of our dear locals, which I believe was well said, so thought we should share:

“I just knew you were going to carry the flag and raise it to where it should be. On the tallest flagpole sitting atop the highest building. It should fly, proudly, at every Australian business and home just like in USA. Let us be proud of our flag and let it unite us, as was the intention when it was first raised in 1901. Let us not forget the many men and women who have died serving that flag and that surely should be enough for every Australian to realise and cherish what we all have because of those who sacrificed their lives to give us and maintain what we enjoy. That’s enough. We move on to Australia Day and the celebration of what it is, simply, the day the first fleet arrived on these shores and the start of building this wonderful Nation, AUSTRALIA.”

Another of our local friends shared our quote this week – thank you Peter. According to my friend “Google”, the quote “emphasizes finding potential, growth, or hidden advantages within difficult or annoying situations” and “The phrase suggests that problems or challenges are often just opportunities in disguise, waiting for a change in perspective to be recognised”. Is it, that my mind always turns to business? Or does this align with buying and selling Real Estate? Of course, always to ‘life’…

Interesting, given we are currently in the 1st Year of our next 9-Years, as mentioned in our first Newsletter in 2026 – “The first year (Year 1) is often described in terms of new growth and charting a course...”

In Sales, since our last Newsletter, we have 2 New Listing, 2 New Contracts and 2 Settlements…

Our two New Contracts are not yet unconditional, so therefore ‘unmentionable’ for now…

The Contracts on 36 Bauer Street, Southport and Apartment 21 Carrington Court have now Settled. We congratulate the Sellers and, once again, thank them for the opportunity. Also, congratulations to the Buyers and welcome to your new home!
