How often do ‘things’ change overnight and with the dawn begins a new day and often new circumstances… I have lived for many years with the ‘philosophy’ of making the most of every day, as life changes in the ‘blink of an eyelid’. It is a little like buying or selling – who knows what tomorrow will bring…
Many of our readers will have heard me say, “If it doesn’t happen, it wasn’t meant to be.” I have always believed that life has a way of taking us exactly where we are meant to go...
Just yesterday, I was chatting on the footpath - as I often do - and whilst speaking with one of our locals, Steve, a couple walking by caught my eye as the gentleman picked up one of our booklets, so I invited them to join in. I did not need to say any more to hear a lovely story of the Hughes Family history and how “it was just meant to be” – including their share in a NZ Horse “Meant to Be” and their share in the Management Rights of Oscar on Main fittingly located at 1 Hughes Avenue, which they have just sold. It truly felt like the end of an era - and once again, proof that some things really are meant to be.

Our chat took me back to 2006 when my husband and I were here on business and decided to look at buying an investment property - just something we could “lock and leave” while continuing our work in Sydney. Well that was definitely one of those occasions it was ‘meant to be’ – we stayed, worked remotely, and ‘the rest is history’, as they say...
Many of our locals have similar stories and as they will tell you - Main Beach is more than just ‘a little’ irresistible! The picture of the Broadwater above is compliments of our dear ‘local’ Steve, mentioned earlier – thank you Steve!
On another note, in relation to ‘meant to be’ – I would like to let those of you who have had the pleasure of working with one of our team members, Michelle Buchanan, know that Michelle has decided to explore new career opportunities and is no longer with MBPS.
Michelle first joined our team as my assistant (for the want of a better term) in early 2023, before moving into a Sales role in March this year.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Michelle for everything she has done for me personally and for the entire MBPS Team. We wish her all the very best in her future endeavours!

This week, we have 4 new ‘authorities to sell’, all of which are ‘off market’ sales for now, with one, a ‘courtyard’ being held very ‘close to our chest’, so to speak. Yes, we do manage to sell secrets from time to time... We also have one of those ‘unmentionable’ contracts. You may wonder why I am evening mentioning, however if I do not, we have no ‘business news’...
