Recently we spoke about positive thoughts and the aging process, i.e. never think ‘old’...
Then I read an article where Meryl Streep once said: “Aging is not for the weak. One day you wake up and realise that your youth is gone, but along with it, so go insecurity, haste, and the need to please... You learn to walk more slowly, but with greater certainty.... ”. I just thought I would share...
Then this morning I read another interesting article that I believe applies to more to the youth of today, rather than ‘we’ the ‘older generation’ – "Is It Enough? by Manos Findikakis". A very interesting motivational article that I believe applies to ‘life’... I have shared the link above for those who are curious to read further. The article was of particular interest to me as MBPS is seeking to add a motivated, energetic salesperson to our Sales Team... It is very important that the right fit for us is, as Mr. Findikakis says in his article, “an all in kind of person” and not a “just enough” person...
Speaking of Team and not being ‘just enough' people, MBPS will now be represented by 4 Team members at the Vinnies CEO Sleepout next week. Young Jennifer and myself and the older members Celine and Michelle – or did I get that the wrong way round... We would like to sincerely thank all of you who have very kindly donated to date to this truly worthy cause and encourage those who have not yet had an opportunity, to do so via the QR Code on our photo above or here 'MBPS Team Sleepout'. Due to your generosity, I increased my goal to $4,000 dollars and each of the ‘girls’ added their goal of $3,000, so we are looking to raise $13,000 and we are at $4,437 as of today, so a little way to go... Where did those weeks go? It will be amazing if we can reach our goal in the confidence that all of the funds go towards building housing for those without homes ... We do not feel that we are able to assist those who cannot afford to purchase a home through MBPS in a better way...
Those of us who have been feeling the ‘chill’ in the air these past few days and nights cannot imagine how those ‘sleeping out’ in the elements are managing... As I have said before, ‘only for the grace of ... there goes you or I’!
Now, for those who are looking at keeping in touch with our ‘core’ activity – Selling and Managing Real Estate –
We have a new Listing on the ‘Beachfront’ – a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment on the ground floor in Beachside Tower – so you literally walk out of your private back door across the grass to the beach, you do not even need to walk through the foyer of the complex... You also have, what some might like to call their own “private” pool only steps from your back door... As I write this, I feel that seems crazy to believe that a property such as this on the ‘Beachfront’ can be purchased in this market for $1,345,000... One of our conditional Contracts is now unconditional – Apartment 2 Kings Row South, which is now considered SOLD – Congratulations to the happy Sellers and Buyers! Also, to Michelle who brought the parties together!
The Contract on Apartment 5 Kings Row South settled this week as planned, so we would like to once again congratulate the Seller and Buyers; thank the Seller for entrusting us with the sale of her home and welcome the Buyers to their new home! Also, congratulations to Michelle and I who ‘facilitated’ the sale. I like that word – I would like to re-brand MBPS to be ‘Facilitators’ rather than ‘Real Estate Agents’, which are not always ‘highly regarded’... We are working very hard to change that mindset of some!
In our last Newsletter we Featured Apartment 17 Sainte Maxime and we are pleased to say it attracted a lot of attention... However, given we were not permitted to advertise with a price, as we are in a “Joint Exclusive” and the other agent was advertising as an Auction – it proved very difficult to assist buyers with an understanding of the value. I am very pleased to re Feature the property, now with the advertised price - $1,777,777 – yes, different but effective apparently – now we have sparked some interest... Please call to arrange a private inspection at any time.
In Property Management this week, we have very little available to lease, however, I note that surprisingly the ‘stylish’, fully furnished 3 bedroom Villa at 2/46 Cronin Avenue remains available now at a very discounted rate, $1,935. As we understand, the Landlords will accept a short term lease for a good tenant...
