We are writing briefly this week for a couple of particular reasons – firstly to thank those who have so very kindly donated to the Vinnies CEO Sleepout already – Thank you!
Thanks to your generosity, we were edging towards reaching our initial ‘target’, so as we do, we have now increased our target, and we have now reached 73% of our new target – thank you once again for your generosity! As you know, we love to push the barriers...
I am not sure that we can use ‘generosity’ and ‘Government’ in the same breath, however, we have introduced a new section to our Newsletter – “Agent’s Blog”, where we will highlight a recently written Blog by one of our agent’s and provide the ‘link’ for further reading.
Carmen’s Blog is featured below and highlights the Government’s ‘generosity’ - for want of a better word, in offering New Home buyers further incentives... We, as agents of course, believe the further incentives will enhance the property market, particularly for new builds, as there is ‘no limit’ on spend. We also see the potential to assist the rental shortage, by taking a number of New Home buyers out of the rental market. Our theory only and we hope we are right...
Another reason for our ‘tardy’ and very brief Newsletter this week is to highlight our Feature Properties below, as we have only just received photography. Queensland's Stamp Duty Shake-Up: A new era for first home buyers purchasing a newly built home or vacant land to build on.
In a landmark move to address the growing challenge of housing affordability, the Queensland Government has introduced changes to its stamp duty laws. As of May 1, 2025, eligible first home buyers will benefit from full exemptions on stamp duty when purchasing newly built homes or vacant land to build on.
