We felt our saying this week is in keeping with our last Newsletter in relation to ‘manners and courtesies’ – we should after all, lead by example!
I have received so many comments from readers of our Newsletter, young and old, who I have ‘bumped into’, pardon the pun... All agreed that sadly manners are a dying art. Although, in saying that, we also agreed that there would appear to be a new generation, who will be taught good manners, as we were... I really think it is a generational ‘thing’.
I met a very pleasant young couple this week, whilst walking up the street – They were very well mannered, as I again stepped aside to let them pass shoulder to shoulder, I received a big smile and a “thank you”! It did not occur to them that perhaps they should have moved into single file... So, it is just a different culture and how could you do anything other than smile and say, ‘thank you, have a good day’!
Then the next day, the total opposite, 2 separate couples, both with prams, stepped aside to make room on the footpath for me to pass – to the point where I asked them to please keep the pram on the footpath... I then felt embarrassed, as I thought to myself – ‘is it possible they have read our Newsletter’? I did not really think so and realised that it is thankfully just that pleasant new wave of ‘manners and courtesies’ coming back!
Featured below is Apartment 74, Xanadu East, which is situated on Level 24, right under the Penthouse. The difference between it and the other apartments below is the high ceilings, at 2.8 metres, as opposed to 2.6 metres. Not to mention the magnificent views. We also have two Contracts that are now unconditional, so considered SOLD – Apartment 17C Sunbird and Apartment 3 Norfolk, so we would like to congratulate the happy Sellers and Buyers! Also, Carmen who brought the parties today.
The Contract on Apartment 33 Pacific Views also settled last week, so once again, congratulations to the Sellers and Buyers and to Carmen who negotiated the Contract!
As you will be aware Properties for Lease are relatively scarce these days. We do, however, have 3 properties currently for re-lease. Two of which are in Main Beach and are both 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms in ‘walk-up’ complexes - Apartment 18 Scalinada at $695 per week, with 1 car space and Apartment 9 Main Place at $700 per week, with 2 tandem car spaces.
