We would like to wish those of you who are Fathers a “Very Happy Father’s Day”!
In thinking of Father’s Day and looking for an appropriate saying for our Newsletter this week, I of course went to thinking about my father, his wisdom and the life lessons he taught me. Such as - “treat others as you would like to be treated yourself”… He was not a man of Religion, however, he had many ‘Golden Rules’. One other I recall from when I was very young was “If you tell the truth you will never get into trouble”… That, I recall from when I was a toddler and my brothers and I were jumping up and down on Mum and Dad’s bed and we fell through the gyprock wall – we stuffed the wall with the pillows and when Dad came home we were all sitting in front of the hole full of pillows like three silent monkeys – what were we thinking? My dear Dad would have been 104 this year and I still live by his wisdom… This is my Dad!
