They say “Easter is a symbol of hope, renewal, and new life”… Whatever the meaning, or symbolism, of Easter is to you as individuals, we believe our saying this week is appropriate. We wish you all a very Safe and Happy Easter!!

I was looking back on last week’s newsletter, which I feel we only sent out yesterday - the time continues to fly by at MBPS… In reviewing I noted that our saying, which was the subject line of our mail out – “Sometimes there is nothing you can do but let it rain and wait for the sunshine" – was not published in the Newsletter… You must have wondered what we were saying, when we said “What more can we say…”  We hadn’t said anything...

A funny story… We know that at least one of our locals read our Newsletter last week, because one day during the week I was standing in the office behind closed doors, with my back to the street – there was a knock on the door that made me jump and as I swung around I saw a smiling face giving a wave in passing as they rushed by – I quickly opened the door and called after them “Hello”, to which I received the reply “virtual hug”, including the actions, as they rushed off - I must say I was thrilled… I have continued to throw my ‘virtual hugs’ around all week and I am sure people are starting to wonder at my sanity (that may have been in doubt before now…). I am hoping the ‘virtual hug’ will spread like ‘wildfire’ - we have shared a picture below…

This week, you might find it hard to believe, given our industry – we have been very busy.

We have been working on a couple of new listings, which are not yet ready to ‘be revealed’ – one on Chevron Island and the other in a very prestigious Main Beach complex – so watch this space…

Mr Jeeves celebrates Easter indoors this year

Conforming with our ‘new norm’ of social distancing… Mr Jeeves is celebrating Easter behind the office door in keeping with our new regime of ‘OPEN BUT CLOSED’.

This has not stopped Wendy, our ‘Duck Stylist’, who made a special trip to the office whilst on leave to come up with a little something extra for the occasion and her creative wrapping of some delicious Easter Eggs!

I wish I could have filmed the look on a little girl’s face today, as she looked at Mr. Jeeves and his little friends through our closed doors - she is clear into the spirit of Easter with her Easter Bunny mask and little fluffy tail stuck on her little shorts – she must have been all of 2 years old – so cute!

 
 
           

Main Beach News…

Three beaches closed from the 8th April 2020 until further notice

  Main Beach News…

The Gold Coast City Council has closed three major beaches from Wednesday 8th April, 2020 to enforce the social distancing regime in the fight against the spread of COVID19.

Coolangatta Beach will be closed from Greenmount Point to the Coolangatta Groyne

Surfers Paradise will be closed from Clifford St Tower 33 to South Narrowneck Tower 37 adjacent to Higman Street.

The Spit from Tower 42 Adjacent to Seaworld to the Rock Wall adjacent to Tower 46

The good news is that Main Beach locals can still go for their beach walks between towers 37 and 42 whilst observing the social distancing rules of 1.5 metres.

Please be aware that the police are enforcing the closures and fines will apply.
