We thought our saying this week is very appropriate to Real Estate, as we always ‘strive for the moon’ and manage to at least ‘get over the fence’…

I started with our quote this week, initially as I was going to speak of the ‘challenges’ a full moon can bring at times, in an amusing way, of course… Then I thought – no, we stay forever positive and the challenges come and go, so “we” are all the better for them – let’s turn our ‘full moon’ into a positive to encourage all of those ‘frozen southerners’ to come North!

The full moon was stunning over the ocean and then this morning we had another beautiful sunrise. Last evening, I was speaking to one of our part time locals, who is currently back home in Melbourne and he said that it is ‘freezing’ down there – apparently down to minus 10 degrees at times… So, I thought I would share a little piece of Main Beach, where we have struggled a little this week with 19/20 degrees during the day – oh, it was 6 degrees when I took an early morning walk... A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that we achieved a sale due to the cold weather in Melbourne, so I thought I would just encourage a few more people from the ‘south’!

We believe we managed to get over the fence this week, with a new listing, a settlement and an unconditional Contract!

Listed this week is an updated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, beautifully presented apartment in Pacific Views - a “Whale watchers paradise, with sensational sun rises over the Pacific Ocean”, listed at $730,000. The apartment is currently in the holiday pool and will not ‘go to market’ until the beginning of August, as we have limited access.

Oscar on Main Apartment 53 settled this week – we would like to congratulate the happy Seller and Buyers, together with Carmen, who negotiated the sale!

The Contract on the De Ville apartment went unconditional today, so again congratulations to the Sellers and the Buyers!

This week, we have also ‘gone out to market’ with the very tastefully renovated, spacious 2 bedroom apartment in Park Lane, which is listed at $799,000. It is featured below and will be Open to View this weekend, between 11:30 an 12 pm, both Saturday and Sunday.

In Property Management this week we have had a lot of activity, with 2 apartments leased, 2 under application and one new listing coming up, being a 2 bedroom apartment in Woodroffe Avenue.

Kokoda Challenge: Gold Coast

Enter the toughest team endurance event in Australia and find out what you are made of at the Kokoda Challenge! It is a gruelling, 96km cross-country trek (or, if you're a machine - run) through the spectacular Gold Coast hinterland on Saturday, 20 July 2019. The time limit for completion is 39 hours.

These numbers hold special significance in Kokoda history; 96km is the exact length of the Kokoda Track in PNG. The time limit of 39 hours is in honour of the 39th Militia, who were the first troops to defend Australia at Kokoda.

Each team of four participants (with the help of their Support Crew) treks the 96km course along fire trails, crossing 12 creeks and climbing summits of 5,000m of vertical elevation. The goal is to finish as a complete team of four in honour of the spirit forged on the Kokoda Track in 1942: courage, endurance, mateship and sacrifice.
