This morning as I walked – yes, I am back to my walking, after one year of not walking due to my “hip”… How good is that! And, not only is it a walk, it is another reminder of our wonderful little community here at Main Beach. On my walk I must be careful, to just say “good morning” as I pass all of the familiar faces and not to stop and “have a chat”. You know I do like a chat… And, I may not get to work at all!
Anyway, as I started to say, as I walked this morning I thought of why it was that last week our Newsletter was so late and why I was the ‘stand in’ date for my friend – it was because of my new philosophy in life “say yes” to everything… I believe you will all agree that is a GREAT philosophy! Oh, maybe not quite everything…

The Jewel International Kite Festival will be a spectacular day of visually exciting kite displays, with the iconic Pacific Ocean as the backdrop. We invite you to experience the wonders of the Jewel Beachfront and the beautiful natural landscape of Broadbeach.
This is a free community event and will include a day filled with fun for the whole family including stunning kite displays from professional kite artists, kite making workshops with nationally and internationally renowned kite masters, interactive children’s entertainment and food trucks from some of your local favourites.
The lantern parade at dusk along the beachfront will round off the festival. Sounds like a great fun day out!
