We thought we might share with you this photograph of what we found in the reception area, under the coffee table, on Saturday afternoon - an empty bottle of Mum champagne… Oh, did I neglect to mention the size of the glass, last week?

We do not have a lot to report this week…. Although we have still been very busy with buyer enquiry and inspections, we have not managed to bring any new listings to the market or any new Contracts, however, we are very close on both counts…

We did successfully negotiate a Contract on an ‘off market’ sale of an apartment in Xanadu North, which has been agreed and will be signed off early next week. There is another ‘off market’ apartment available for sale in Xanadu North, which will be available to view next week, so please feel free to call us for further information. As always, one must strike whilst the iron is hot!!

We will also have a house in Woodroffe Avenue go to market next week – so watch this space…

Mr Jeeves.....

We are actually featuring a story about Mr. Jeeves’ stylist, Wendy, as we did not have anything to report on Mr. Jeeves, who to quote one of Mr. Jeeves’ young follows, ‘was nothing’ at the end of this week – meaning he was not dressed up…

This has to be seen to believe…. I knew nothing of this until the other day when I walk out to reception and found Wendy, our Director of First Impressions and Duck Stylist, adding 45c stamps to an envelope. As she dipped a stamp into a cup of water… I asked, what I thought was a reasonable question, “Wendy what are you doing?” Wendy, so matter of fact said, “I am placing Arthur’s stamps on the envelope” – What is in the envelope I asked “Our booklet. I send it to Arthur every month”. Who is Arthur, I asked… Apparently, some years ago Arthur telephoned from Perth and asked that we send him our booklet each month. He insisted that we use his stamps that he sent over – 45c – how far back do they go? Wendy assured him that he did not need to send his stamps and that we would be happy to pay for the postage, however, he continued to send his 45c stamps and insisted that we use them. She believes he actually gets enjoyment out of seeing his stamps on the envelope. Arthur, who says he is very grateful and gets great joy out of receiving our booklet has said “I will come over and buy something one day”…. How special is that? Not only is Arthur interested enough to want our booklet, but Wendy is dedicated enough to remember to send it. It just made me feel good! We would have been more than happy to pay for the postage… I am guessing Arthur is not internet friendly! Oh, the water stopped working and the glue had to come out.....

Broadwater Parklands will be buzzing on Sunday

The Broadwater Parklands will come alive with everything that digs, scoops, cleans and beeps on Sunday 27 May 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm.

More than 50 City vehicles will be on display to the public including excavators, graders, loaders, tip trucks, road sweepers, beach tractors, quad bikes and more. Bring the whole family along, slap on a hard hat and imagine yourself as a landscaper, lifeguard, beach cleaner, fence builder, dune protector or construction worker for the day.

There will also be food stalls, live machinery demonstrations, free rides, and entertainment for kids of all ages. This free annual community event is hugely popular and appeals to the big kid in all of us.
